1. As a Product Specialist - in supporting the Third Party Distribution teams in growing and retaining assets in GSAM strategies and
funds. The primary responsibility of product specialists is to enhance the sales effort through product development, technical sales
support, and delivery of portfolio implementation expertise to financial intermediaries serving retail and higher-net-worth investors.

Product Specialist Responsibilities:  
• Work closely with the Australian Third Party Distribution (TPD) sales teams to facilitate product sales by providing a high level of
technical expertise across the range of relevant products.  This will include communication of investment process, portfolio
positioning, points of competitive differentiation, and analysis of investment results.
• Product responsibilities will include support of mutual funds and other investment strategies managed GSAM across all asset
classes, including Fundamental Equity, Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS), Fixed Income and Alternatives.  Candidate will be
required to have strong command of relevant products, as well as a good understand of the capital markets and portfolio theory.
• The candidate will work in close coordination with the relevant portfolio management / client portfolio management teams, TPD
sales professionals and marketing groups to develop and deliver relevant, highly impactful portfolio insights and product positioning
ideas.
• The candidate will also be responsible for elevating the product proficiency / effectiveness of GSAM sales professionals through
ongoing training, communication of relevant portfolio analytics and the development of sales ideas.
• Ongoing competitive analysis and development of product positioning strategies delivered via periodic voicemails/emails,
participation in sales calls/meetings, and in response to inquiries from the various TPD sales teams.

Experience / Skills:
• Minimum of 5-6 years investment industry experience, preferably in a product development or product management role
• Knowledgeable about the local regulatory environment and structuring of collective investment vehicles
• Background in articulating investment strategy, portfolio positioning and capital markets developments
• In-depth knowledge of asset management products and capabilities
• Strong familiarity with economic theory and practice
• Strong communications, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and project management skills; ability to work under pressure and to meet demanding deadlines
• Strong work ethic and commercial perspective
• Educated to degree level or equivalent, CFA or CFA candidate preferred
• Fluency in English required
