About the Job
The successful candidate will have a flexible attitude and a personable manner as well as goods in experience with Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Licenses; licenses must be in date and we cannot accept In House Forklift Certificates. Working within Goods Inwards and dispatch the role is to work as part of a small team bringing in stock and also ensuring items pass strict quality control procedures before being despatched. S L are looking to appoint someone who can manage the planning and flow of stock on a full time basis, must be computer literate and have knowledge of computerized goods in receipt systems however training will be given. Duties will include supervising and completing daily operations of goods receiving and warehouse operations, checking goods in and goods out after being delivered/ processed to agreed standards, ordering stock, to perform stocktaking and ensure accuracy at all times, to provide leadership to the goods in/out department, to ensure adherence to the Health Safety policy at all times, problem solving and to ensure effective communication takes place between management and the shop floor. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication motivational skills, be able to manage and work as part of a small team and to show confidence in any decision making, planning organising. Previous experience of working within a warehouse is essential to fulfil the role. The Warehouse goods in/ out person will be required to oversee the entire functions of the department. co-ordinating the team within the warehouse, ensuring completion of workloads, as a Goods In/Out supervisor will have solid experience within a similar warehouse role including management and leadership skills. You will also have a sound understanding of health and safety. This role would suit a team player with excellent communication, organisational and planning skills and IT literacy.
