Governance Manager

This role is required to provide control, challenge and management of the programme governance and Executive/Board level reporting processes, resulting in: a) visibility and predictability of delivery performance, b) robust governance, c) faster, more effective resolution of issues, d) informed, effective and timely decisions.
This role is based in a exciting new area. This is a c.£260M transformation programme involving multiple 3rd parties. As a result it has a very high level of organisational visibility and focus across numerous organisations and is extremely complex.
The role holder is expected to work well with Executive level stakeholders, quickly establishing credibility by demonstrating an understanding of both programme and business needs and helping to navigate the programme to success.

-Proven track record in the management of complex business transformation at all stages of the lifecycle
-Experience within the financial services industry·
-Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure· Highly resilient, adaptable and able to deal effectively with ambiguity/changing priorities
-Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced change environment
-Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent team player with ability to working closely with others to deliver results· Effective coach/mentor with proven ability to develop others
-Customer focused
-Proven track record of working on own initiative, with the ability to introduce fresh thinking to the role and the wider team.
-Demonstrate an ability to think and reason logically· Strong relationship management skills
-Excellent written communication – business and project reports
-Exceptional communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with anyone in any environment, e.g. able to translate complex / technical issues to meet the audience's competency level
