Our New York City office has an exciting opportunity available in the Managed Health Care Operations department for a Government Pricing Analyst. This role will provide primary support for government price calculations and CMS submissions; In addition, the individual will also be responsible for the administration of Medicaid, SPAP and Medicaid supplemental contracts as well as rebate validation/dispute resolution. The qualified candidate is a highly creative professional with a strong acumen for business operations, including contract operations, and compliance whose is a team member of Government Pricing, while working collaboratively with Managed Markets contract managers.

II. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSABILITIES:

1. GOVERNMENT PRICE CALCULATIONS: Active member of the government pricing team by preparing accurate calculations, analysis and timely reporting of government prices for AMP, BP, ASP, NFAMP, and PHS as well as submissions to CMS. Perform detailed monthly and, or quarterly analysis to explain variance differences.
2. CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION: Ensure customer accuracy by entering contracts into CARS Medicaid with approved contractual terms; utilize CARS Medicaid system to add new contracts or update contract changes; maintain organized documentation and correspondence for each account; (adding/removing products price changes).
3. INVOICE INQUIRIES/DISPUTES: Work with Medicaid Rebate Team to research invoice inquiries from customers and coordinate a response with manager and the government contract analyst responsible for dispute resolution.
4. MEDICAID REBATE CALCULATIONS: Perform quarterly calculations for each government contract and update CARS Medicaid system; work with the contract management team to ensure the new Supplemental contracts are ready to be calculated loaded into the system.
5. REPORTS ANALYSIS:  Prepare and distribute standard and ad-hoc reports.  Tracking Reports for Supplementals, SPAPs, and current Contract Discounts.
6. SOPs: Update internal SOPs with management direction to ensure consistency with corporate policies, applicable laws and regulations.
7. CIA SOX: Ensure compliance with Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) and SOX requirements. Provide direction and assistance when requested to various audit initiatives.

III. ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. CONTRACT BID ANALYSIS: Develop an understanding of the contract ROI evaluation tools and be able to work with account managers and internal operations personnel to develop sound analytical support for Commercial/Medicaid/Government contract bids, consistent with brand objectives and contract discount guidelines. 
2. ACCURAL MODEL: Work with the current systems to ensure accurate Commercial and Governmental accruals on a quarterly basis.

IV.   POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  An undergraduate degree is required; an advanced degree is desirable.

Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience (pharmaceutical knowledge preferred) with direct experience in one or more of the following areas: Commercial or Government Contracting; Accounting/Finance background.  Experience with Commercial/Part D Contracting, Government Price Reporting or Rebate Dispute Resolution is desirable. The final job title will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.

Licensure/Credentials: Additional relevant credentials are a plus.
