Group Governmental Affairs (GGA) provides integrated coverage of the regulatory process, of governmental, political and macroeconomic issues and of policy-related and regulatory risks.

The GGA mandate includes to:

Analysing activities of governments, regulators and supranational organizations in view of new topics and initiatives in the financial sector materially affecting UBS
Advising senior management on emerging political topics materially affecting UBS and manage relationships between senior management and important political stakeholders in Switzerland and abroad
Coordinating and managing the participation of UBS in relevant regulatory consultation and legislative processes
Owning the supervisory relationship with the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and ensure consistency of major supervisory interactions of Group-wide nature
Coordinating UBS's community affairs activities globally

To strengthen our Executive International Affairs team in Zurich, we are looking for a

Governmental Affairs Project Manager

Key responsibilities include the following:

Managing all aspects of strategic projects, with a special focus on complex regulatory discussions with a direct impact on UBS's strategy and business activities
Managing the relationship with GGA's key internal stakeholders including regional top management in APAC, the US and UK in the context of UBS's Global Community Affairs activities
Support in the planning and preparation of events involving UBS's top management within the responsibility of GGA (e.g. UBS's engagement in the World Economic Forum)

Knowledge and skills requirements:

Master or Post-doc degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
5-7 years working experience in the financial industry or consulting and proven skills in related project management
Good knowledge of the financial industry and its institutional environment
High willingness and openness to take on new challenges, stress resilience, self-starter
Excellent analytical, communication and drafting skills
Very good language skills in German and English, third language is of advantage
