Gradient Coil Code Development Job
Responsibilities are presented for gradient coil design code developer. Essential Responsibilities Develop and document software for electromagnetic optimization, design and analysis of gradient coils Test support for final assembly and functional test of gradient coils Root cause analysis for gradient coil and related MRI functional test failures Support for compliance, quality, and reliability efforts Follow-up support for gradient coil installation productivity or failures at customer site Preparation/presentation of design and analysis reports on gradient coils and interaction with magnet Develop product, component test and purchase specifications for gradient coils Design leadership of productivity projects (both product cost and life cycle cost reduction) Coordinate cross-functional design, analysis and testing. Support manufacturing lean initiatives Provide creative solutions to unstructured product design issues from both factory and field. Qualifications/Requirements: BS Physics, EE or related field Demonstrated experience in scientific programming and strong background in computational electromagnetics Ability to develop software to optimize, analyze and design complex products: - Optimization, design and analysis of gradient coils - Electromagnetic analysis of interactions between gradient coil and magnet - Root cause analysis of gradient coil defects and/or image quality defects due to gradient coil Flexibility in handling a challenging, multi-tasking workload Ability to work in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
