Graduate Data Analyst
Long established and well regarded the use unique and innovative web-based platforms to collect, validate and distribute analytical data, ratings and reports on global and domestic custodians, banks and brokers, fund managers, capital market infrastructures and central securities depositories. They distribute cost and risk data to end investors around the world.
Working within a small team of analysts you will be responsible for the production of a series of analytical reports by benchmarking competitive cost and operational arrangements with global custodian banks. They are now expanding the range of services to offered and require extra support to ensure standard of service is upheld.
The role sits within the business team, with interaction internally and with clients. Data is collected by the analysts, uploaded into internal systems with the results analysed and presented in a formal client report. The range of current benchmarking includes custodian fees, fx pricing, interest rates and operational KPI’s. They are now extending the range to include the benchmarking of investment management charges, broker commissions and general administration costs incurred
You will be responsible for the maintenance of a database of information through liaison with a number of clients and related vendors, as well as the timely and accurate collection of data and information to support the production of detailed analysis. You'll also be expected to make an active contribution to the team, working with a number of team leaders and directors on a daily basis to ensure project objectives are achieved.
The successful data analyst will have the following skills;
- Analytical. Ability to provide qualitative statistical analysis. .
- Report writing. Strong verbal and written English grammar to ensure high standard of written reporting.
- Communication. Skilled and confident in interacting with clients, vendors and banks.
- Teamwork. Strong team ethic, together with a co-operative manner.
- Time Management. Ability to manage time to ensure timely reporting to clients.
- IT skills. Adept at using the standard Microsoft package (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), together with the ability to use internal web based applications.
- Degree in a field related to financial services - 2:1 or above.
