This is an excellent opportunity for someone who may have no previous experience to join our client as a Junior Sales Engineer, assisting in providing technical pre-sale support for systems and products to sales and channel partner teams.

The Junior Sales Engineer will work closely with, and under the direction of the Sales Manager for EMEA to provide internal sales support and support to the sales team, customers, partners and/or resellers by discussing and understanding their system requirements, requesting, presenting, exchanging and/or verifying information, or solving problems. They will manage and interpret customer requirements - listening to clients and using astute questioning to understand, anticipate and exceed their needs - and analyse customer requirements to create, prepare, modify and provide sales collateral. They will provide clear explanations and instructions to customers, partners and/or resellers to address their needs in a way that maximises sales potential and prepare sales quotations, technical responses to Requests for Quotation (RFQ`s), Requests for Information (RFI`s) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as directed by the Sales Manager - EMEA and in line with company procedures.

The role will involve participating as required in the preparation, setup, presentation and demonstration of products at trade shows, conferences and other marketing events. The Junior Sales Engineer will correspond on a timely basis with internal and external customers including resellers and where appropriate, end users, and develop and demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of company markets and product lines. They will support channel partners and resellers by providing pre-sales applications support and technical presentations to end users to demonstrate how products will meet customer needs, establish and maintain existing, long-term relationships with customers and input data as required to the customer and opportunities database. They will work closely with and support other members of the sales team and other technical experts and follow all internal procedures to comply with the company`s ISO accreditation and meet any pursuant health and safety requirements. In addition, they will provide reports as required.

The successful candidate will typically have either degree-level business, math and communication skills as would be acquired with a two-year engineering degree or three years experience in a technical sales environment, with a focus on radio communications and/or associated disciplines. However, any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job is acceptable.
