Graduate Portuguese Speaking Trainee Accounting Role
A European Bank is looking for a Portuguese speaking Product Controller to join the control department. The candidate will be working alongside a finance team who will be reporting directly to the Finance Controller.
This role is a great opportunity for graduates as the bank will support the studies of the candidate throughout their training (preferable CIMA). The bank is very keen to train their staff to make them as effective as possible. This would be an ideal role for someone who is looking to work in a Product/Accounting role that will nurture them through their studies.
The candidate would be expected to complete the following tasks:
• Financial accounting of the entire branch’s activities, which will need to be both accurate and consistent. This will be completed on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. This will be reported to head office monthly.
• Daily reviewing the trader’s PL/risk and investigating errors/anomalies and making the corrections on the system.
• Reporting of budget and management both locally and to the head office. This will include the reporting of regulatory landscape which currently covers both liquidity and statistical reporting to the PRA FCA.
