Gradiate SQL / Java Role in Finance
The candidate will join Financial Softare company as a graduate trainee and will assist the current reporting team to develop, enhance and support the existing reporting framework. As the candidate gains experience they will also have the opportunity to be involved in the design and enhancement of the reporting data warehouse and related systems. In addition to gaining skills in database development, SQL and UNIX scripting the candidate will also have the opportunity to learn Java and help to develop applications for web-based Support Portal.
Responsibilities:
- Assist reporting team to develop reports using SQL and UNIX scripting
- Assist in analysis and resolution of bugs and data quality issues
Required:
- Computer Science or scientific/mathematical degree
- Some knowledge of SQL
- UNIX scripting experience
- Interest in finance/banking
Nice to have:
- Some database development experience
- Knowledge of Perl scripting language
- Knowledge of Java programming
Personal skills:
- Creative problem solving ability
- Independent, self-motivated individual
- Well organized, attention to detail
