Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Proposals and Negotiations Team (PNT) is seeking a Grant Contract Officer, Senior (GCO, Sr.).   The primary focus of the GCO, Sr.  on PNT is to support one or more functional areas within ORSPA by providing contract development, review, negotiation and acceptance, proposal preparation and processing regulatory compliance; ensuring compliance with all applicable university, sponsor, ABOR, state and federal requirements, standards and regulations.

 

The GCO, Sr. in conjunction with and in support of Research Advancement Administrators fellow Grant and Contract Officers in coordination with other offices on campus, provides contractual and administrative support (analysis, reviews, drafting, negotiation flow-down, interpretation of contract and all related documents); actively supports and mentors other Grant and Contract Officers during negotiations, as necessary.  Provides identification, guidance and mitigates risks connected with non-standard contractual conditions, experience in pre-submission administrative review, management, authorization and transmittal of grant and contract proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies.

 

DAYS AND SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM 

 

Rate of Pay: 

Depends on Experience

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree required and five years of related experience OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills

and abilities have been achieved. 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

Experience in: government or commercial contracting or procurement; leading negotiations for complex grants and contracts; tact and confidentiality; prioritizing work and muti-tasking within time constraints; strong problem solving and analytical skills; Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook); computer database systems. Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills.
