Responsibilities

As part of a Grant Administration team, the Grants Administrator is responsible for managing and coordinating a complex grant portfolio for the College of Engineering (COE). The Grant Administrator will provide support and guide the faculty with the planning and implementation of their grant proposals and submissions. Responsibilities will include proposal preparation, review and processing along with coordinating submission procedures with Research Administration and Finance (RAF). The Grant Administrator will monitor all phases of grant awards including document processing, accounting and administration, ensuring administrative and financial compliance with the university and funding agencys regulations and policies, resolving grants administration issues, providing aggregate reports of research activities and award closeouts.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent in account or business administration with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in grant preparation and management in an academic environment. Must have a solid understanding of federal/university grant operations, policies and accounting procedures. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects along with strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in preparation of Grants.gov application packages and NSF Fastlane submissions.
