Graphic Artist/Designer

Description:
The Graphic Artist/Designer will work in a dynamic environment supporting corporate communications efforts and working with diverse, customer-facing project teams in the production of print and web media. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, designing, and producing visual solutions for proposals, marketing materials, and web sites and applications.
The Graphic Artist/Designer will develop and mature concepts through the full lifecycle from inception, and sketches, through implementation. The successful candidate will apply their expertise to enhance and enrich the user experience and/or aesthetics of our company’s image and its client solutions through the creative use of color, photography, type, and layout. The Designer will be responsible for maintaining version control on web and print media for both corporate and client related activities. He/she must demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills and an ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be well organized and effectively manage time across multiple simultaneous production efforts. Should demonstrate an interest in professional career development through continued attendance at design workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or technical degree in Graphic Design or related field;
- Good organizational skills, be proactive and productive, and possess extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite of tools.
- Minimum of three to five years experience with graphic design, user experience and web/print layout preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills;
- Must present a portfolio of original work.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Experience methodologies.
- Experience creating illustrations, either drawn or vector based.
- Experience with motion graphics frameworks appreciated but not required –e.g. Flash, HTML5, JavaScript, etc
- Experience with video production and editing.
