Job Description

BetterInvesting is seeking an experienced communications professional to join our in-house creative team as Graphic/Web Designer.

 

As a part of the nation’s largest non-profit, member-based organization dedicated to investment education, you’ll help us further our mission of empowering people from all walks of life to become successful, lifelong investors.

 

In your role, you’ll serve as a contributor to the creative strategy and production of a wide range of internal and external communications projects including:

 

·         Print and online advertising

·         Websites and landing pages

·         User interface and app design

·         E-mail campaigns

·         Social media graphics

·         Direct mail

·         Brochures

·         E-books and publications

·         Videos/screencasts

·         Other traditional and digital marketing collateral

 

Working in collaboration with internal departments, project directors and senior leadership, you’ll use your creative talents to translate strategic marketing initiatives into compelling, effective designs.

This is a full-time position at our corporate offices in Madison Heights, Michigan.

 

 

Desired Skills Experience

·         Minimum 3 years of relevant graphic design experience in a corporate or agency setting; financial services experience a plus

 

·         Exceptional portfolio of traditional and digital design

 

·         BA in Fine Arts, Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent combination of experience/education

 

·         High level of proficiency in print and web design software including QuarkXPress, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash and other Mac-based applications

 

·         Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript

 

·         Experience implementing designs on blogging platforms, website content management systems and e-mail marketing applications

 

·         Strong understanding of design principles for both print and the web, including familiarity with the printing and proofing process

 

·         Comfortable managing multiple, complex projects, balancing priorities and communicating with various stakeholders from concept to completion

 

·         Proactive, self-starter capable of working independently to launch and advance projects, obtain required information, and meet project deadlines with a high degree of professionalism and attention-to-detail.

 

·         Excellent problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills
