Grid / GridServer / DataSynapse HPC Engineer required for our investment banking client to provide level 3 support and engineering of the global grid environments and associated infrastructure. The support team are responsible for management of the global grid infrastructure, including building and deployment of new grids, software and configuration management, reporting and alerting, defining break-fix procedures and dealing with central infrastructure teams
Candidates will require:
- At least 2 years experience GridServer development; experience with complex multithreaded, grid applications
- At least 4 years experience with one of the following preferred programming languages and their main relevant libraries; At least 1 year experience with any of the remaining languages: C++ [preferred], Java [preferred], C#
- Experience developing on different OS environments (Windows and Linux)
- Experience of development toolsets: CVS/Subversion/P4, Continuous integration, Testing framework/techniques.
- Scripting languages with: Perl, python, bash (*sh)
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networks (ipv4), network sniffers, HTTP protocol, and authentication/encryption
