Grid Support Senior Analyst (FIC technology) recruitment
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• 1st and 2nd line DataSynapse GridServer and Platform LSF support, including monitoring
• Grid infrastructure lifecycle management, including maintenance and patching; working with global infrastructure teams
• Grid license management
• Grid usage reporting and key performance indicator generation
• Improve Grid documentation and Grid support processes
• Contribute ideas which can be incorporated into the Enterprise Grid strategy
• Assist with grid on-boarding for new businesses
• Identify weaknesses and risks in the Grid environment
• Work with development/application teams to integrate new applications and maintain existing
• Carry out and improve Grid QA procedures
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
• Reports to Application Support Manager
• Liaise with the Grid engineering team
• Liaise and coordinate with application support teams
• Liaise and coordinate with the QA team• Liaise and coordinate with development teams that interface with the Grid
- FIC
- Structured Rates
- Counterparty Risk Trading
- GELP
• Liaise with global infrastructure teams
• Liaise with FO Quan/dev teams where required
• Should be prepared to directly assist Front / Middle Office business users

• Windows server operating systems (Windows 2003)
• High level understanding of server technologies appropriate to HPC
• High level understanding of network technologies appropriate to HPC
• Good understanding of storage technologies appropriate to HPC
• Good understanding of modern development technologies
• Windows scripting; eg VBScript, Python
• Microsoft Office
EDUCATION /OR EXPERIENCERequired
• Experience of relevant distributed or HPC Grid technology (eg DataSynapse GridServer; Platform Symphony)
• Good understanding of the application lifecycle
• Appreciation of operating with diverse technologies
Preferred
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Experience working in a front office support environment
• DataSynapse GridServer 4.x or 5.x experience
