Grocery Manager

 

The Grocery Department is the heart of the store and our customers like to be able to find what they are looking for on our shelves.  The Grocery Manager ensures that our shelves are stocked, organized, and clean.  This manager ensures that shelves are stocked with fresh products and that the entire department is fresh and organized.

 

The Grocery Manager is responsible for the receiving, safe handling, and attractive display, tagging and labeling of all grocery products and for ensuring that our customers are served quickly and courteously, resulting in a positive shopping experience.

 

The Grocery Manager is very involved with department associates.  This manager assists in hiring, coaching and training associates, as well as conducting meeting and scheduling.

 

The Grocery Manager is essential in ensuring that products are handled properly and that foods are rotated to ensure freshness and date controls. 

 

This manager is also responsible for ordering, vendor communications, compliance and sanitation, back room inventory and controls, and management of workplace and department safety. 

 

The Grocery Manager is key in driving department programs and merchandising.

 

This manager also has reporting, financial control, and budget responsibilities.
