Job Description Position Summary: Assists the Store Coach to effectively manage the store through establishing priorities, following up with supervising total store operations. Is directly responsible for directing the daily operations of the food store, to maximize sales and gross profits while providing superior customer service with specific concentration on the Perishable Departments. Ensures Company safety and sanitation standards are followed and adheres to all Federal, State and Local regulations. Is responsible for assisting in price integrity, in-stock, inventory control, payroll management, sales and profitability of the Perishable Departments. Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements Key Roles and Responsibilities Customer: ? Maintains standard of safety, cleanliness and general housekeeping of the sales area and display shelves as well as coolers and floor in sales area and back room. ? Greets all customers and assists as needed. Resolves customer concerns and problems. ? Enforces Company safety and sanitation standards and adheres to all Federal, State and Local regulations. ? Greet customers and assist as needed. Resolve customer concerns and problems. ? Ensures company in-stock standards, policies and programs are implemented. Maintains shelf allocations to accommodate the availability of products at all times for the customer in support of marketing programs. ? Responsible for the ordering, receiving, display and sale of all products while adhering to Company quality and merchandising standards. People: ? Assists the Department Coach?s in working with People Coach to determine staffing requirements and develop work schedules to achieve maximum production while meeting payroll budgets. ? Enforces Company safety and sanitation standards and adheres to all Federal, State, and Local regulations. ? Ensures accurate inventories through proper counting and recording of all merchandise while adhering to all company policies and procedures regarding inventory. ? Select, orientate, train and develop department associates to maintain an effective and efficient Food Department. ? Interviews, hires or assists in hiring applicants to maintain store staffing requirements. ? Conducts New Associate Orientation, oversees the training and development of associates and maintains documentation of training programs associates have completed. ? Interprets personnel policies and procedures (including dress code), furnishing personnel information to associates. Assists in resolving concerns and problems and other employee relations issues by maintaining open communication between associates and management. Tours store to ensure implementation of personnel policies and procedures. ? Participates and assists in preparing for general store meetings, providing information to store associates regarding personnel programs. ? Assists the Store Coach with the coordination of Associate Annual Reviews with store management team ensuring that reviews are completed in a timely manner and according to personnel policies and procedures. ? Prepares work schedules as directed by the Store Coach, ensuring accuracy of record keeping and in accordance with staffing budget and scheduling guidelines. ? Performs the duties of a minimum of one additional job as directed by management in order to maintain staffing flexibility and efficiency. ? Jointly Responsible for overall associate morale inside the store. Years Experience 2 - 5 Years Experience Preferred Minimum Education Bachelors Level Degree Travel Requirements Limited (5-15%)
