Ground Systems Engineer with TS/SCI clearance Job in Aurora, Colorado US
A current Top Secret / SCI eligible clearance is required.
Provide maintenance and support for on-going systems, which includes, but not limited to, monitoring of system(s) performance and data backups. Identify causes of operating system/application software problems and determine appropriate solutions. Strong systems analysis skills essential. Basic to intermediate UNIX Operating System knowledge, IRIX preferred, UNIX platform hardware and networks knowledge. Shell scripting (PERL, C, Korn) experience and satellite operations a plus. Complete systems/software documentation as required. Interface with hardware and software peers and personnel. Ability to work a continuously rotating shift schedule, which would include weekends and holidays supporting 24/7 operations. This position typically requires 7-12 years experience and a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, preferably computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
