Group Accountant / Product Controller, Proprietary Trading/Investment Management recruitment
The group operations include proprietary trading of equities and derivatives, investment management and a property investment / development fund.
This is an opportunity to gain excellent exposure to the daily activities of a growing business, take ownership of the group accounting / product control functions and deal with a number of high profile individuals and clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of group accounting, which will include daily production, analysis and explain of trading profit and loss; valuation of derivatives; producing monthly management accounts; setting up new companies within the group, liaising with clients and any additional audit / reporting / ad hoc duties as required.
The required qualifications and skills:
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/CA or equivalent)
- Product control experience, 1 year as a minimum
- Financial product knowledge to include derivatives – ideally equities
- Excellent IT skills – most importantly strong Excel (able to manipulate/edit Macros)
- The individual does not need to have prior exposure of group accounting, though it would be an advantage
