Group and Executive Compensation Specialist
This role is part of a small specialist team responsible for 2 distinctly different components: Compensation Design and the management of
Executive Management compensation. As part of the compensation design this role will support the team in the implementation of the overall compensation strategy of Swiss Re. This role is also responsible for any analytical reports that support the delivery of any Swiss Re Group level compensation reporting, for example the Compensation Report which forms part of the Annual Report. Some research on regulatory requirements will also be required by this function.
A secondary but critical element of this role is the support on managing the Executive Management compensation. The incumbent would manage the files and supporting analysis for the annual
compensation review and all matters relating to the compensation of the EC, GMB and BoD members.
Main tasks/activities:
Group Compensation
- Ensure successful implementation with partners within CBIM group
and Finance, Tax and Legal for all new incentive plans created, in particular on the systems used within Swiss Re
- Research on global regulations as it relates to compensation, local labor law, tax rules, securities laws
- Provide support and training as required to ensure successful delivery of the Annual Compensation Review round
- Provide analytical support for the production of the compensation tables in the annual Compensation Report and subsequent research
and investor relations activities
- Part ownership of the MD review day preparation
Executive Compensation
- Coordinate the payment of board fees at Board of Directors level
- Coordinate top executive benchmarking
- Maintain files on Executive members
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of Human Resource experience, ideally within a global corporate reward environment. He /she will have a have a
proven track record in the preparation of Group level reporting, ideally including a Compensation Committee and have had some exposure to
Bonus Funding processes and Annual Reports.
- Financial industry background would be an advantage
- Positive, proactive action orientation
- Ability to progress tasks alone, finding creative solutions
- Takes initiative within boundaries of authority
- 'Make it happen' attitude
- A solid work ethic and high energy level, honest and straightforward
- Ability to build consensus, nurture cross functional teams and forge work relationships across international teams
- Solid written and spoken English is a must
- German knowledge is an advantage
