Group Compliance Accountant recruitment
Reporting to the UK Director of the business, you will oversee the preparation of accounts for the group and undertake compliance work for the regulated entities. You will gain exposure to the entire business from front to back and have direct face time with senior management / business owners, providing excellent role evolution and future opportunities within the UK and elsewhere in Europe.
Approximately half of the working day will focus on accounts preparation for the group, including the production of management accounts, statutory accounts, audit work and cash management. The remainder of time will be spent on compliance work for the 3 entities regulated by agencies including the FSA. You will be responsible for financial reporting, capital adequacy calculations, preparing various regulatory documents and maintenance of compliance files.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Producing monthly group management accounts
- Statutory accounts production for entities
- Audit preparation
- Compliance file maintenance
- Producing quarterly regulatory returns including capital adequacy returns
- Preparing regulatory documents for FSA regulations including Icaap risk assessment and pillar 3 information
Candidate profile:
- Accounting background with a qualification that will include ACA / CA, CIMA or equivalent
- Compliance experience, with FSA exposure
- Ideally a background in a similar organisation – trading house, investment / asset management, hedge fund
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent IT skills, including extensive use of Excel
