Group Corporate Finance & Strategy – Indonesian conglomerate recruitment
Astra was established in 1957 as a trading company and is today the largest Indonesian-listed company with a market capitalization of US$30billion. Astra has six primary business lines: Automotive; Financial Services; Heavy Equipment and Mining; Agribusiness; Information Technology; Infrastructure and Logistics. As of 30 June 2011, Astra employed 151,303 people in 148 companies, including subsidiaries, associates and jointly controlled entities.
Reporting directly to the Head of Group Corporate Finance Strategy, the successful candidate will be required to help originate and execute new business development opportunities (organic and inorganic) as well as lead and develop strategic initiatives across the Group. The candidate will be expected to work closely with the Group’s Directors, as well as CFOs and senior management of the Group’s operating companies. The team is looking to hire at various levels depending on experience and qualifications. There will also be opportunities to move into a senior managerial role within the businesses at a later stage.
You will have five to ten years post-qualification work experience with strong financial discipline from an investment banking, corporate development, management consulting or transaction advisory background. You will also have a strong track record of deals/projects where you would have demonstrated an ability to project manage large, complex deals to a successful outcome. You will also have good presentation skills and strong financial modeling skills. Professional qualifications and/or MBAs are preferred, although not necessary and you will have graduated from a top university with international work experience.
