Group External Reporting Accountant
My client, a top tier banking institution, is seeking to recruit a recently qualified accountant to join their Group External Reporting function within Global Finance on a permanent basis as a Financial Accountant. You will be responsible for collating and preparing financial information and analysis across multiple global entities to produce consolidated results for external and internal reporting.
Reporting to the Financial Consolidations Manager, key accountabilities include:
· Preparation and review of consolidation journals, financial statements and other disclosures for the Annual Report Accounts/Interim Report, as well as monthly management information
· Provision of quality information to the wider Group regulatory and accounting policy teams
· Actively participating in the implementation of new reporting requirements and upgrades to new systems as necessary
· Maintaining compliance with SOX and other regulatory demands and improving the quality of reporting as well as information communicated to internal and external stakeholders
· Assist in driving forward the implementation of new reporting processes as required
This role would suit a newly or recently ACA qualified accountant (or equivalent) with a strong academic background and proven track record in practice, looking to move into the fast-paced environment of external reporting.
