Group Finance Analyst
My client a successful Group based in Cheltenham, head office, are currently looking to add to their very successful Finance team.
You will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller and Group Finance Manager in the delivery of effective, efficient and robust Group Financial service to internal and external stakeholders.
This role gives the opportunity to work in a head office finance team consolidating financial information and providing group financial services for a large and fast growing UK Group. Its main focus will be in analysing financial data, assisting with the production of the statutory accounts and providing assistance with ad-hoc project work. Working closely with other Finance Team members, this role gives the candidate plenty of opportunity to develop skills across a wide range of financial disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- To review and analyse property portfolio performance and trends.
- To assist in the preparation of the group’s statutory accounts, taking responsibility for the production of at least two of the Group’s entities.
- Regular balance sheet reviews and investigations.
- Ad-hoc reporting and project work as directed, for example:
Profitability analysis.
Benchmarking exercises.
Review of KPIs.
Analysis of market and consumer trends.
- Offering support to divisional finance managers as and when required.
- To assist with the production of the weekly sales reports.
- To assist with the preparation of Group management accounts, budgets and quarterly reviews, collecting and collating information from each operating division.
- To assist with the preparation of midyear and year end group reporting packs for submission to the parent company.
- The provision of Group information for the external auditors.
- To assist with the consolidation of the group’s cash flow forecasts and short term cash management.
- To assist with foreign exchange management, consolidating the group’s foreign ------ exchange requirements and liaising with the Group FC and the Group Treasury - --- --- Department to provide the required foreign currency.
General:
- To participate as an effective and willing team member in order to achieve individual and team goals

- To undertake the required training and development
- To undertake any tasks as reasonably requested by management
Looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant. Would consider candidates straight from practice.
