Group Finance Analyst

My client is an instantly recognisable brand within media and the finance team is renowned for it's quality and commercial capabilities. Their mission is to become the Blue Chip Finance Team of the Year!

They currently have a rare opportunity for a qualified ACA to join their Group Finance team. Responsibilities include;

* Reporting and analysis of the Group’s consolidated balance sheet, preparation of reports for the CFO and board and liaison with commercial finance teams in order to ensure that the balance sheet position is accurately reported;
* Assistance with the preparation of the Group’s Annual and Interim Reports and quarterly releases, primarily focusing on completion of the consolidated financial statements;
* Provision of accounting guidance and assistance to commercial finance teams on a wide variety of ad hoc queries, inclusive of complex and critical areas of accounting such as lease accounting, impairment testing, revenue recognition etc;
* Review of new accounting standards and rules issued by regulatory bodies, preparing updates for senior management and implementing new accounting policy and disclosure requirements;
* Provision of accounting advice and financial due diligence on both corporate transactions and commercial deals, e.g. acquisitions/disposals/investments, new products and services, tax planning, derivative structures etc;
* Involvement in the Group’s internal controls compliance programme, ensuring that key controls are operating effectively
* Other ad-hoc project work driven by the commercial activities of the business

The successful candidate will be an ACA straight from a practise firm or alternatively a second mover who has spent time in a Financial Reporting or Group Reporting role in industry
