Overview of Division
Asset Management (AM) and Private Wealth Management (PWM) divisions provide fund management and investment advice and products to institutions, wholesale investment platforms and high net worth individuals.
The Finance Asset Wealth Management team is responsible for ensuring that the Asset Management and Private Wealth Management businesses have appropriate support:
• Providing business analysis to management
• Ensuring internal controls over the accounting function
Responsibilities
• Validation and Control reviews over month end Group Reporting performed by an offshore professional service centre (PSC)
• Provide insightful commentary in financial reporting packs
• Validation and investigation of the cost base of the business
• Look for efficiencies in current model, liasing with the PSC to implement process changes
• Assisting the Finance Director and Manager on ad-hoc requests received from Business and Finance stakeholders including the potential disposal of Asset Management
Requirements
• Highly organized with good attention to detail
• Ability to present ideas clearly
• Ability to work with staff across multiple levels and locations
• Strong communication skills
• ICAA / CPA / CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification
• 2+ years work experience in a Financial services environment
• Experience in Asset and Wealth Management finance role highly regarded
• Proactive approach - able to resolve problems through own initiative
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Solid Powerpoint and Excel skills
