Group Financial Controller
Full Job Description
My client is a FTSE listed EP business based in Central London. Owing to an internal promotion they have instructed me exclusively on a mandate to source a Group Financial Controller to oversee finance on all of their assets.
The role will be based in the Company's technical services office and will report to the Chief Financial Officer. A Group Financial Accountant, Joint Venture Accountant and an Assistant Accountant will report to the successful incumbent, together with Finance Managers in operational offices where the Group holds operating licences.
As a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA) with hands on experience within the oil and gas exploration and production sector you will review and assist with the preparation of Group consolidated financial statements and the preparation of Group budgets whilst coordinating with and overseeing Group and local audit reviews.
You will have excellent reconciliation skills and a strong knowledge of IFRS as, along with supervising and coaching 4 qualified accountants, you will assist with corporate transactions and partner with the CFO in defining the strategic function of the business in this exciting time.
Knowledge of SUN accounting software and an ability to work under pressure and stay positive are required and you will ideally have experience of liaising with and reporting to banks in order to service debt products.
