Group Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Manager recruitment

 Group Finance includes central finance areas, specialist teams and divisional finance teams which supporting our front-line businesses.  Our specialist teams are; Group Chief Accountant's, Group Corporate Finance, Group Finance Business and Executive Support, Group Financial Planning and Analysis, Group Internal Audit, Global Services Finance, Group Strategy, Group Tax, Group Treasury, and Investor Relations.

Group Financial Planning Analysis (GFPA) are the link between Divisional Finance and Group Executive. The division trusted to provide an independent, high quality and effective assessment of the financial performance and outlook of the RBS group. Their service offerings include rolling review, analysis and challenge of business performance, budgets and forecasts. They also provide Performance Analysis, Investment Appraisal and data and process management of the systems.

As a Group Financial Planning Analysis Senior Manager, you'll be a member of the GFPA leadership team, required to support the Director of GFPA, Director of Finance and Group CFO. Additionally you'll develop and maintain strong relationships with Divisional CFO's / Heads of Finance. You'll drive a number of GFPA led Group Finance projects as well as championing improvements to performance management and analysis across the Group.

For this Group Financial Planning Analysis Senior Manager role, you'll need to be a qualified accountant, with broad knowledge of banking finance and business management. You'll have significant experience of influencing at executive level, coupled with a strong analytical background, which is crucial to succeed in this high profile position. Additionally, you'll have driven improved business performance within a number of different types of complex businesses, and will be able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of what drives business performance from end to end. Naturally, you'll have the ability to change business processes within a complex financial services environment.
