Group Financial Reporting – AVP recruitment
Main Function
Main point person responsible for managing and monitoring UK, US and SPEs controlled out of Asia Pacific from a Financial Control perspective.
Main Duties
The duties and responsibilities of the candidate would cover the monitoring of UK, US entities and SPEs from start-up to liquidation from a Financial Control perspective.
• Formation :
Co-ordinate with business to identify new SPEs proposed that will be controlled out of Asia Pacific and organise set-up.
Co-ordinate with Vendors on minimum reporting / accounting requirements, set up SLAs and organise review of Vendor controls by auditor / company representatives.
• Management
Obtain financials from third party service provider and incorporate financials in SAP
Obtain monthly transaction confirmation / attestation from PCG
Review consolidation requirement and confirm with TAG
Liaise with Business COO, Tax agent, accounting service provider to ensure timely completion of tax returns, tax payments and all other reporting requirements
Monthly and Quarterly Group reporting – WRA, Galaxy SAP to RACE recon, Sox attestation (N2 Return), Inter-co mismatch resolution / attestation, Accown, LoR and RACE.
Updation of LED and sign-off
Prepare / review financial statements for a number of legal entities under IFRS. Candidate needs to be familiar with IFRS financial statements disclosures eg IFRS 7.
Liaise closely with external auditors, tax and corporate secretary to ensure the statutory accounts timeline is adhered to and all accounts filed by 30 June due date, if not earlier.
Monitor preparation, approval and filing of Statutory Accounts
• Liquidation
Identify dormant entities and discuss with Accountable Executive for possible nomination for liquidation
Person Requirements
5 to 7 years post qualification experience;
Background in Finance / Investment banking, through either direct employment or through Big 4 Auditing / Consultancy exposure.
Preferred - Experience in managing US, UK small entities or SPEs in an investment bank through either direct employment or through Big 4 Auditing / Consultancy exposure
Skills and Knowledge:
• Strong control awareness.
• Good Excel skills;
• Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communicator.
• Strong technical accounting skills (IFRS)
• Willingness and ability to take ownership of issues and manage through to a successful resolution.
• Clear understanding of impact of accounting transactions on financial statements.
Preferred - Experience of working in or auditing a SAP financial accounting environment
