Group Head of Programmes & Projects recruitment

Duties:

~ Manage Programme/Projects Dept
~ Ensure effective management of programme/project delivery
~ Contribute to leadership team taking responsibility for success of Change Dept
~ Manage staff, recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation disciplinary
~ Engage relevant counterparts to establish forward demand for projects/programmes
~ Manage development standards/methods for Programme/Project Management
~ Manage dept performance (focus on delivery to agreed time commitments/quality)
~ Set organisational strategy governing direction conduct of programme/project management
~ Manage financial aspects of PPD, incl purchasing, budgeting/reviews
~ Mentor/coach Programme Managers/Project Managers in best practice, procedures/standards

Person:

~ Expert understanding/practical experience of Project Management methods/techniques
~ Prince 2 PM Practitioner expertise in MS Project
~ Strong leadership/management skills with strong understanding/experience of people management principles/practices procedures
~ Record of successful large project implementations
~ Exceptional customer service orientation
~ Extensive experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environments
~ Excellent English written oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
~ Ability to present ideas in a language understood by non-IT people
~ Highly self-motivated/directed with disciplined work approach keen attention to detail
~ Proven analytical, evaluative problem-solving abilities
~ Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
~ Comfortable working in an environment with significant change ambiguity
~ Demonstrate experience with IT systems/IT management at senior level in large and diverse businesses
~ Experience with and understanding of strategic and business planning methods, tools processes
~ Experience working through major organisational change
~ Track record working in a geographically diverse complex organisation
