Family Children's Aid, Inc. operates several Group Homes for children and adolescents who have been removed from their homes by the Department of Children Families (DCF) due to suspected or substantiated cases of abuse and/or neglect.

 

Program Director is needed to supervise and oversee the daily operations of a therapeutic group home for adolescent girls, ages thirteen (13) to twenty-one (21) who have been placed in a level II therapeutic group home setting. Many residents have experienced past trauma, such as abuse and/or neglect and many have high acuity level behavioral needs.

 

The main responsibilities of the Program Director are:

§         Establish and coordinate the daily care for the residents.

§         Coordinate educational planning for the residents.

§         Coordinate and conduct all intakes.

§         Collaborate closely with community organizations.

§         Maintain all licensing and regulatory requirements.

§         Model de-escalation techniques and provide the necessary support in crisis intervention.

§         Assist in clinical assessments upon intakes.

§         Plan discharges and after care treatment for caseload.

§         Ensure treatment model is being implemented effectively by all staff.

§         Ensure a safe, supportive, nurturing and healthy environment for the residents.

§         Supervise all group home staff.
