Group Radiology Manager: West Yorkshire
Salary: Circa £56,000
Reports to: Associate Director of Operations
Hays Healthcare is proud to be exclusively working with The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. They require a talented and enthusiastic Radiology Group Manager to manage the service within their hospitals. (Dewsbury District Hospital, Pontefract Hospital, Pinderfields Hospital).
Job Role / Key Accountabilities:
A pivotal position within the Divisional Management structure, the post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of service outcomes and corporate targets. Allied to this will be the responsibility for the operational management and leadership of the clinical services.
Key future developments relating to the post include:
· Seven day service delivery – focus on new ways of working
· Replacement of MRI and CT at Dewsbury Hospital
· Collaborative working with other providers
· Pathway and service improvement to deliver sustainable achievement of a two-week diagnostics wait.
The post holder, may at times be required to act as Deputy to the ADO. Whilst not an exhaustive list, detailed below are some of the key responsibilities of the position:
· Strategic development
· Change management
· Lead on the access agenda for diagnostics within radiology
· Delivering high quality clinical services in line with strategy
· Supporting and delivering improvements in patient care and satisfaction
· Increase productivity and efficiency
· Ensure delivery against quality and performance targets
· Financial management
· Working with external partnership groups and across organisational boundaries to develop services
· To develop an effective team approach across diagnostic services
Person Specification:

Qualifications:
· Educated to degree level or equivalent
· Masters level qualification or equivalent level of experience
· Management qualification or post graduate diploma
· Evidence of continuing professional development
· Desirable – Professional qualification in the field of Radiology
Experience:
· Extensive experience of successful senior management
· Extensive evidence of sustainable and continued service improvements
· Successful budgetary management
· Experience of leading diagnostic services at a senior level
· Management and leadership of staff from a range of professional backgrounds
· Experience of capacity planning
· Ability to lead, manage and implement change to improve services to patients
Skills and Abilities:
