Group Technical Accountant
£65,000 - £90,000 depending on experience

The role sits within the Group Finance Team headed by the Group Financial Controller and reporting to the Group Finance Director. There will also be close working relationships with the Finance Directors and Controllers across all business units.
The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Group Technical Reporting and keeping key stakeholders up to date
- Lead position and implementation of IFRS4 Phase II
- Lead finance involvement in Solvency II reporting and compliance
- Responsible for compliance of subsidiaries with IFRS group reporting
- Assist group financial controller in consolidation
- Technical accounting involvement in ad hoc Group finance projects
- Keep up to date with changes to IFRS and the regulatory framework and assessing impact on the Group
The Candidate:
- Graduate or graduate calibre;
- Qualified accountant;
- IFRS and insurance industry experience is essential; and
- Exposure to Solvency II from an accounting perspective is preferred.
