Position Overview
The candidate will be a business analyst in the core team in Singapore which will be responsible for delivery of the GBS workstream across the 15 locations. The core team is responsible for the mapping of data from source and the actual set up and configuration within the vendor model

Due to the nature of the project as well as business analysis the candidate will need to become the subject matter expert for the chosen vendor package using the essential technical skills of having a proven ability in business analysis, data mining and database management. Communication is key and will be required when working with SME’s or end users across 15 separate APAC locations. The ability to work independently as well as within the framework of a team is essential.

In addition the candidate will need to ensure the current DB data standards for the reporting and reconciliation tools within DB are adhered too and will need to determine and apply appropriate workflow definitions to ensure accurate and timely submissions within the project.

The chosen candidate will need to work closely with the Test and Conversion team to ensure our approach and methodologies and appropriate and workable to ensure end user sign off. Automation is key to the success of this and prior experience of automation tools is essential

Responsibilities
The business analyst, with a proven track record in delivery, will work for the programme and report to the project manager or team lead and responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and documenting current GBS regulatory reporting requirements followed by onshore SME’s when preparing regulatory reports in their current environment
• Working with the SME’s and GT to ensure future sources of data are considered and documented along with any associated logic / process flow changes
• Ensure all documentation is agreed with SME’s and signed off as required by key onshore resource
• Ensuring status of analysis is clearly articulated to the project manager or team lead on a regular basis (including updates in Sharepoint)
• Engage with team members, GT and Finance as well as Axiom resources to define data models, map shorthands and define, build reports in the Axiom solution throughout the programme
• Preparation of test cases with and unit testing of these built reports
• As knowledge of the Axiom application grows there will be a requirement to train other members within the team as well as potentially external to the team
• Engage with IT and Finance colleagues throughout the programme to ensure all objectives are aligned and on target for delivery
• Constantly review current processes within the team itself to identify areas for improvement / increased control

Requirements
• Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years Business Analysis experience within the financial industry operations area which follows the SDLC of Business requirement collation, documentation and transfer to functional specification (IT)
• Candidate should have should have an excellent work ethic and have a proven track record for delivery in a change environment role
• Established business analyst credentials and software development lifecycle experience beneficial
• Past regulatory reporting project experience (from a CTB or RTB perspective)
• Developing business requirements definition, documentation and sign-off (covering both current and future state) including process and data analysis
• Provide thought leadership within own area of responsibility and BA profession within DB
• Excellent knowledge of project lifecycle and ability to demonstrate practical usage
• SQL knowledge including an advanced understanding of databases / data models / structures / joins and expert data mining and manipulation skills
• Advanced MS office suite including: Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to understand data flows, as well as system and manual processes
• Business Analysis (min 3yrs) which follows the SDLC of Business requirement collation, documentation and transfer to functional specification (IT)
