Global Business Services is fast developing into a market leading client services and transaction processing organization for Deutsche Bank. GBS is committed to one strategy; to deliver world class client service at exceptional value to our internal and external clients.

GBS predominantly supports the Corporate Investment Bank, but also provides business services across the Bank.
The core functions are spread across multiple product groups including Derivatives, Securities, Global Finance Foreign Exchange, Cash Trade, Commodities, Loans, Trust Securities, as well as cross-product functions and utilities. GBS operates a follow the sun model to ensure seamless services are provided to Deutsche Bank’s clients.

Position Overview
The Business Manager (BM) will cover regional strategic initiative, support the Branch Governance Model and will also be the primary BM supporting the Risk PL and Trade Support functions. This role will have other regional products oversight and also assist the current APAC Business Manager in supporting the Regional Financial OPCO and implement costs governance and control process.
Responsibilities
- Financial Management - Costs analysis explanation, monthly review with product heads, manage budget transfer, accruals invoices management.
- Headcount Management - Variance analysis explanation, headcount tracker, track open positions and joiners/leavers.
- Planning Forecasting - Ensure accuracy of headcount in the plan, labor rates, query costs decisions and ensuring that the regional budget is correct.
- Front Office Relationship Management - Relationship management with front office business managers, manage cost allocations, analysis and explanation, conduct periodic review and support ad-hoc allocations queries.
- Service Provider Management - Ensuring incoming costs are in line with service provided, relationship management with service providers, working with local and regional Finance to resolve financial issues.
- Business Planning - Ensuring GBS business plan is in line with the business (front office), assist product/regional head to formulate business plan, track the progression of business plan.
- Strategic and Tactical Implementation - Implementation of GBS wide strategic and tactical plans from headcount, costs and business management perspective.
- Relationship management with Global COO, CAO and Service Centers – Managing service center on day-to-day BM activities, ad-hoc queries and investigation. Discuss costs decisions with the product Global COO and CAO.
- COO Operational Services – Update key achievements, ad-hoc assignments to collate data or implement Divisional/Bank initiatives, volume, organization chart, participate in regional GBS BM forum to share best practices and information.
Requirements
We are seeking a candidate with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), strong organizational and data analysis abilities, Excel and PowerPoint expertise and confidence to interact with all levels of the organization.
Experience in previous business management, business consulting, business analysis or business finance roles is preferred
You will need to work with peers at all levels, both regionally and globally and hence this is a chance to develop your networking and people management skills, in addition to honing your project management and organizational skills.
Proven track record in:
- Developing and managing budgets and cost control
- Developing concise management information
- Creating presentations for senior management audiences
- Understanding of the Bank’s financial systems e.g. BEN, ACORN, SAP
- Managing offshore service providers
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Excellent working knowledge of all MS Office products (especially Powerpoint and Excel )
- Team player, collaborative and at the same time able to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deliver within tight deadlines
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent coordination and facilitation skills
