Business Description
AS - Finance and Accounting Team is looking for a Functional Analyst based in Singapore. This role is ideal for an IT analyst looking for a challenging and rewarding role, with a very strong understanding of Finance regulatory group/local reporting.
Position Overview
The Lead Functional Specialist is responsible and seen as the leader regarding activities which translate complex requirements from Business Analysts into functional specifications which serve as the basis for technical solutions.
Lead Functional Specialists acts as the day- to-day leader of work efforts in this area across a team and/or serves as a senior subject matter expert providing support across development related work efforts and projects.
Responsibilities
• Analyses business requirements documentation and other artifacts received from Domain Management.
• Responsible for formulating and creating functional specification documentation, in close collaboration with business analysts, application owners and solution architects.
• Primary lead to create and modify business facing documentation (e.g. user manuals, solution briefs, functional summaries).
• Provides functional competence towards software effort estimation needs, whenever required (including adoption of function point analysis tools).
• Support testing on behalf of users, operations, and testing teams potentially including test plans, test cases, test-data and review of interface testing, between different applications, when required.
• Works with application developers to resolve functional issues from user acceptance testing (UATs) and to help find solutions for various functional difficulty areas.
• Work closely with Business Analysts in solution detailing and solution maintenance areas.
• Acts as a primary resource for functional detailing to assist Business Analysts in Domain Management, with development of their deliverables.
• Be a primary source of requirement details towards software solution architects, developers and testers.
Requirements

• Able to quickly grasp new contexts
• Basic knowledge of technical aspects including middleware
• Used to working to tight deadlines and identifying problems at an early stage
• Flexibility and willingness to work autonomously
• Self motivated within set competencies in a team and fast paced environments
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Minimum 8 years experience as functional / business analyst in medium to large scale regulatory applications.
• Strong analytical skill and experience in defines and collects business requirements in collaboration with business partners.
• Strong communication and documentation skill. Experience in functional documentation traceability.
• Experience in functional area trouble shooting and resolution to reported bugs / issues on applications.
• Able to support newly identified conceptual designs and newly identified business solution options.
• Work experience in SAP BW and BCS.
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science or an IT-related diploma (or equivalent)
