Position Overview The Operations Analyst undertakes the processing of transactions, events or data processing within a functional team.
Responsibilities
All processes involving LGC settlements (International markets) and Account Opening. This includes :
• Responsible for ensuring timely, complete and accurate processing of transactions (including performing all relevant controls) within own area of responsibility
• Applies all internal and external policies/guidelines and requirements of the regulators and to agreed SLAs, KRIs and/or KPIs and quality measures
• Provides input, as appropriate, to product / function development to ensure a superior offering in the face of changing client needs and market trends
• Ensures the escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate; contributes to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions
• Uses knowledge and experience from own area of responsibility to inform the design and implementation of strategies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency and performance of existing processes and reports
• Works effectively within own team, providing support and guidance to colleagues to create and foster an environment of continuous improvement
• Liaise/follow up with Client Services/Client Management for queries on LGC settlement, account opening, etc.
• Liaise /follow-up with Agents/Sub-custodians on matters relating to account opening requirements, tax, etc
• Liaise directly with specific internal clients for their daily settlements or various queries
• Liaise/follow up with various sections/divisions on accounts set-ups, resolution of issues
• Provide support and guidance to Service Centres (DBOI) on issues related to LGC trade settlements, FX., Nostro and securities breaks, etc.
• Provide support and guidance to Service Centres (DKS) with queries and matters related to account opening, requirements and documentation and ensuring queries, instructions are acted upon promptly.
• Receive and withdrawal of physical certificates/documents.
• Review/update Key Operating Procedures and workflow
• Retrieve reports and release instruction from and in Euclid system
• Send swift messages in Mint (payments or free format)
• Post manual IDMS accounting entries
• Involve in User Acceptance Test, (systems or applications) if necessary, even on week-ends.
Requirements
• Relevant experience in one or more specific technical areas
• Some experience in settlement, custody and Network Management would be an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Product and system knowledge in the product line
• Basic analytical skills, flexible regarding production problem solving
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and local language (written/verbal) as appropriate
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in a matrix organizations
• Excellent team worker, able to work in virtual global teams and a matrix organization
• Ability to work in fast paced environment, keep pace with technical innovation and maintain a broad understanding of the GBS offering
• Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
• Prepared to work late or be 'on call' on public holidays
• Familiar with swift ISO 15022 format
• Familiar with Euclid system
