Position overview:

As a result of the regulatory changes Deutche Bank has realised that it needs to be a market leader in the OTC Clearing Business to retain it’s substantial OTC bilateral business and profit from Intermediation and Prime opportunities. The team is responsible for overseeing the whole pre and post mandate Transition process from inception to go-live to ensure our key clients are hand held through every step of the clearing relationship. Given the importance of this function and the profile that it carries it is essential that the candidate is extremely adaptable and able to easily communicate with both internal and external clients.

The Product Analyst supports the Product Lifecycle by ensuring that ongoing enhancements and maintenance is completed in accordance with the requirements of the customer and other stakeholders as included in the product strategy and SLA’s. The Product Analyst clarifies the scope and timing of all activities and deliverables and the value they will generate. The Product Analyst identifies and manages the risks and issues associated with the product and will escalate appropriately. Depending on the point in the lifecycle, the focus may range from improvement of an existing product to driving a brand new opportunity. The Product Analyst supports targeted segment needs analysis, gathers and defines market/product requirements and collaborates with related teams.

While the Product Analyst needs a strong understanding of the market, this must be coupled with a developing business focus and developing ability to act as the “CEO” of the product, displaying concern about the solution while also understanding the case for its existence and supporting it with fiscal responsibility. In practice, this requires an ability to work with other areas of DB including but not limited to: Finance, Sales, Marketing and Executive Management.

Job responsibilities:

• Accountable for the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of a product including management of scope
• Conduct strategic planning for the product
• Identify and manage projects necessary to ensure required and established service levels are maintained
• Manage strategic capacity, consumption and performance management (Forecast and management based on business plans)
• Ensure policy and risk compliance (incl. dbRAMM, SOX, ASG, ISP, Audit, etc.)
• Ensure availability of all necessary product knowledge and documentation
• Ensure product stability through enhancement/maintenance periods
• Ensure RTB/TCA costs are as defined
• Ensure in CTB projects that the changes to the product are fully aligned / support the strategy across the full lifecycle
• Ensure a smooth/successful transition to the production (steady-state) environment
• May be responsible for the delivery of small enhancements
• Provides product support as required
• Support specification of market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going engagement with customers and non-customers
• Aid in creation of strong business cases for creation of any new product or product enhancement along with market requirements, product contract, and positioning
• Support design of the roadmap from creation to sunset for a given product
• Support strategic planning for the product including the product vision, strategy, and KPIs
• Review usability and define areas for constant enhancement and optimization
• Develop awareness of the competitive landscape
• Attend New Business Committee meetings in order to obtain sign off on new clients in the pipeline.
• Manage client through Transition process and offer Operational support post go live.
• Participate on daily Sales calls to provide transition status updates on clients.
• Answer Client service related Request for Information (RFI) query and manage the information on Sharepoint.
• Co-ordinate the on-boarding process between different areas such as Legal, Credit, Collateral Management and Valuations (CMV), Middle Office, Front Office Sales and the Product.
• Manage testing/certification of client portfolios with different CCPs (Central Clearing Counterparties).
• Provide client live demos on TradeFinder (Deutsche Bank’s reporting analytics tool).
• Produce and present Management Information Systems (MIS) to internal stakeholders.
• Manage relationship with client after go live and be part of Global Client Clearing service team.

Candidate requirements:

• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix organizations
• Proven project management and people management skills
• Fluent English (written/verbal)
• Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Science, Engineering (or equivalent)
