Position summary:

An opportunity has arisen in GT Programme Management – CRES Real Estate Initiatives group for a senior Programme Manager to manage a complex portfolio of projects in the UK.

The role will be responsible for owning and managing the key relationship for their respective region between GT and the Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) organisation.

In addition the role will have responsibilities for the management of Mergers Acquisition integration projects, major client projects and major GT initiatives.

This senior Vice President level role will oversee project execution in conjunction with the GT project managers, ensure adherence to governance processes, collect and analyze data to produce management reporting and manage key stakeholder relationships.

This role reports to the GT Programme Management Regional Lead.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
• Oversee a complex portfolio of GT and Client sponsored projects. Ensure that the project managers are managing project scope, milestones, dependencies, costs and benefits through the entire lifecycle to the GT programme framework standards.
• Escalation point for identified project risks and issues and where appropriate work with the project managers to devise effective mitigation and escalation strategies.
• Drive projects through GT and Client project governance policies.
• Work with the GT Programme management group to manage the ongoing implementation of the GT project management methodology and project governance tools.
• Lead regular project and programme reviews with Project Managers.
• Ensure quality management reporting.
• Manage key stakeholder and project manager relationships and communication
• Regional GT representative for relationship with CRES.
• Management and oversight of Project contract staff.

Candidate requirements:

• Strong Programme Management and People Management (Leadership) with proven track record of managing complex regional and global projects.
• Ability to work independently with remote and matrix management – self starter.
• Experience in managing integration and deployment projects regionally and/or globally.
• Experience in managing construction.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Sound understanding of IT infrastructure.
• Assertive and proactive in managing issues and risks.
• Strong problem solving skills (facilitate and drive solutions, options, alternatives)
• Track record of delivering complex technology and / or property projects and programmes.
• Extensive experience in managing large teams in large and complex organisations, with multiple internal and external suppliers and support departments.
