Position Overview
The recent formation of Asia Pacific GBS Regulatory function has opened an opportunity for a regulatory manager to join the team to support the build-up of regulatory governance capability in the region.

The role will support the Asia Pacific GBS Regulatory Head in providing centralised oversight of regulatory matters affecting GBS in the region. This role will involve pro-active stakeholder engagement at all levels; data-gathering, analysis and production of MIS for regional and global consumption; impact analysis of regulatory news and announcements; providing support during Regulatory Audits and participation/leadership of projects and initiatives.

The role will require regular engagement with Global GBS Regulatory colleagues thus necessitating late evening calls.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate MIS and reporting for regional and global regulatory related forums:
? Data collection; formatting to requirements; initial review; submission
• Perform daily regulatory news review:
? Review daily news and announcements; analyse impact; communicate to relevant GBS stakeholders.
• Create and/or maintain database/matrices of regional regulatory data elements
? Regulators regulations; stakeholders engagement matrix; regulatory related projects; compliance survey results
• Liaise closely with other regulatory related functions, for example:
? GBS Market Initiatives; GBS Network Management; GTO Regulatory; Compliance; Country Management
• Support Regulatory Audits:
? From QA of GBS submissions to overall coordination for an Audit that cuts across GBS functions.
• Regulatory Oversight
? Support APAC GBS Regulatory Head in developing metrics, monitoring and escalation processes.
• Seek out improvement:
? Proactively look for ways to improve the function through service offerings, automation, simplification, identify duplication
• Represent APAC GBS Regulatory on regional and global projects and/or working groups as required.
• Support ad-hoc requests for regulatory advice or input.

Requirements
We are seeking a candidate with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), strong organizational and data analysis abilities, Excel and PowerPoint expertise and confidence to interact with all levels of the organization.

You will need to work with peers at all levels, both regionally and globally and hence this is a chance to develop your networking and people management skills, in addition to honing your project management and organizational skills.

Core skills and experience
• Operational experience across multiple products, with solid understanding of how the entire business model works from sales and trading, to settlement, to funding, to risk management, to accounting
• Familiar with Asia Pacific financial market regulatory agencies
• Ideally with a good understanding of the current regulatory landscape
• Ideally with first-hand experience of onsite regulatory Audits

Proven track record in
• Developing concise management information
• Creating presentations for senior management audiences
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
• Excellent working knowledge of all MS Office products (especially PowerPoint and Excel )
• Team player, collaborative and at the same time able to work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to deliver within tight deadlines
• Excellent coordination and facilitation skills
