Georgia-Pacific is recruiting a Growth Sales Representative in our Packaging Division to support our Buena Park, California facility. The Growth Sales Rep must have a demonstrated track record of sustained, profitable sales growth in the corrugated produce market with a focus on customer service, value creation and general market awareness.
The Growth Sales Rep will conduct market research, identify opportunities, initiate prospect contacts, identify customer needs, develop innovative solutions and close new accounts. The geographic area to be serviced will include a 100 mile radius of Santa Maria, California. The position will require a minimum of 50% travel with some overnight stays. The position reports to the Buena Park Sales Manager and will be home based.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred. High school diploma or GED is required.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
- Demonstrated success selling corrugated packaging
- Demonstrated ability to sell using consultative, problem solving approach
- Demonstrated time management and prospecting skills
- Demonstrated ability to work remotely with limited supervision or interaction with management
- Demonstrated ability to uncover problems, issues and needs from a customer's perspective and to incorporate creative problem solving techniques to identify solutions that create value for both the customer and the company
- Strong internal and external communication skills including oral, written, presentation and active listening
- Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
