Basic Purpose Responsibilities 

An exciting opportunity to join the Network Management team in Edinburgh responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with our global network of subcustodians and correspondent banks.  

The successful candidate will be required to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment and to:

• Manage the network relationship for a select group of markets

• Monitor provider performance and changing market conditions

• Provide extensive technical and operational knowledge of assigned markets to internal and external customers

• Evaluate risks and implications of market changes to our operations and customers

• Facilitate communication and dissemination of market information

• Exercise relationship and project management skills necessary to balance subcustodian

 performance with the demands of operational processing and customer requests

.

General Profile

This role would suit an individual with strong relationship management skills and/or custody operations expertise and a background of providing exemplary customer service. Experience of managing or demonstrated participation in projects would be preferred but is not essential.

Working with ownership and accountability, the successful candidate will need to be a self starter with the ability to manage a constantly changing workload and priorities.

The candidate will be required to interact at all levels with external contacts and interact effectively with the management team, peers and other colleagues cross-functionally and cross-geographically to deliver successful results. The candidate will be expected to make sound decisions by utilising and analysing information and expertise from self, internal groups, our providers and the market infrastructures and work within the boundaries of well-established corporate and company policies.

Business Unit Specific Skills

• Relevant Degree or equivalent practical experience and expertise

• Significant related financial industry experience

• Prior relationship management and/or custody operations experience

• Working knowledge of custody and depository platforms and infrastructure preferred

• Excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal, planning and analytical skills

• Excellent client communication and presentation skills

• Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer service

• Display commitment to continuous learning and development

• IT literate including working knowledge of desktop software applications

• Evidence competency in regard to the State Street Values and Talent Differentiators
