GSAM China Institutional Sales, VP, Hong Kong recruitment

The individual will play a key role in GSAM’s institutional sales team in Hong Kong, covering our product sales, as well as sales for our off-shore product range.  Our client base consists of major pension/public funds, insurance companies, and financial institutions.
The individual will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with multiple points of contact with clients and prospects, reporting to the head of the institutional sales team in Hong Kong.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop deep relationships with key client’s and our target client base from mid to senior level  in order to understand the clients’ investment direction, providing advice and solutions to clients leveraging GSAM’s global resources and products
- Work with the sales team on the implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans in order to expand our business in China over the long term
- Act as a liaison point for GSAM, connecting our Chinese institutional business with the rest of the firm not only in China but within GSAM regionally and globally
- Identify potential cross selling opportunities and to work effectively across other divisions in order to achieve common client goals
- Coordinate client Request for Proposal responses with the relevant teams and prepare presentation material pitch books by working closely with the internal teams (e.g. portfolio management team, product management team, client services team, etc)

Skills/ Experience:
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Have existing mid to senior level relationships with institutional clients in China
- 7years of financial services industry experience, with at least 5 years in asset management or Securities.
- Proven sales track record with over 5 years of sales/IBD experience preferred
- Demonstrated team-oriented approach to business
- Highly self-motivated in order to take our business to the next level

- Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese will be required in order to communicate clearly and concisely with clients and internal contacts
