This professional is responsible for developing strategic marketing campaigns to drive sales leads and support asset gathering and retention efforts across all sales channels in Europe. This involves identifying strategic marketing opportunities across multiple products and regions. Specifically, this includes developing marketing collateral, including foundational materials and topical investment ideas, as well as creating internal sales tools and educational programs.

Additional responsibilities include improving the array of products and services we offer our clients by refining product positioning, enhancing and heightening the level of impact of our marketing material.

Project management functions include providing marketing expertise and driving investment content, identifying areas for process efficiencies within the group and/or using technology to improve the marketing delivery.  Strong communication is required across the firm’s sales/marketing professionals, product team members, and other asset management departments in order to deliver materials in an accurate and timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Develop strategic marketing campaigns, including product launches and events, to drive sales leads and support asset gathering and retention efforts in the Europe TPD market
•Actively drive business results by creatively identifying opportunities to strengthen our arsenal of products and sales tools
•Take responsibility for creating and continuously improving foundation, channel and product-specific marketing collateral
•Liaise with appropriate product and regional sales teams to ensure our investment strategies and services are positioned effectively in the regional markets.
•Collaborate with regional marketing strategists and other professionals on global marketing campaigns and projects
•Coordinate with different internal groups, of all levels, including sales/marketing, client service, management, compliance, performance, creative services and e-commerce.
•Provide marketing input and create content for website
•Liaise with external design vendors where projects are outsourced
•Ensure all marketing content complies with GSAM rules and local market regulations
•Measure commercial impact of marketing campaigns and collateral
•Execute independent projects to enhance department efficiency
•Perform other functions or projects

Responsibilities

•Minimum of 5 years in a similar role within a leading asset manager
•In-depth knowledge of the European  marketplace, products, clients, regulations, competitors
•Strong marketing skills in both strategy and execution
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
•Product knowledge, having worked in product management or another area which brings strong product, asset management and mutual fund experience
•Self motivating and driven, someone looking for a steep growth curve
•Able to assimilate new experience and learning very quickly
•Attention to detail and accuracy
•Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story
•Demonstrable track record of working effectively with several teams: sales teams, product managers, legal, compliance, client service, etc.
•Strong analytical skills and ability to compare products, markets, clients.
•Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards
