The role will consist of being a member of the Offshore Funds Investor Services team providing excellent client service to clients from all Non-US regions (mainly Germanic) in relation to the Goldman Sachs Offshore Mutual Funds. The role will require being pro-active in identifying client service enhancements and evolving these ideas into implementation or making recommendations to management. The role involves working closely with the various Distribution Channels predominantly Third Party Distribution / Retail and other departments within the firm in an attempt to improve the client experience and / or improve the efficiency within the team, as well as day to day trade processing and verification.

Primary Responsibilities

• Answering daily incoming calls and emails from clients / custodians regarding our mutual fund range of products which includes answering questions on:

• Trading procedures and settlement options (FundSettle, Eurodor, Clearstream, direct settlement etc.)

• Platform availability of products, master data, trading cut-offs etc.

• Tax status of funds in various jurisdictions

• Distribution status of funds (e.g. private placement versus public distribution) in various jurisdictions

• Working on a day to day basis with regional sales team to drive forward local sales activities (e.g. account opening, know your client procedures, client on-boarding)

• Working with key distribution partners on distribution agreements; coordinating with legal and compliance team internally

• Ensuring regulatory and company compliance standards are met

• Pro-actively identifying enhancements for the clients and communicating these internally

• Helping our technical teams optimizing and streamlining processes by facilitating automation

• Being an active participant in industry bodies regarding discussions on fund operations, fund taxation and fund distribution in Germany and Austria

Skills/Experience

• Fluency in English and German is essential

• Knowledge of Mutual Fund Transfer Agent operations / processing and compliance standards

• Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering / Know your customer standards

• Previous experience of working with German-based fund distribution would be preferred

• Minimum of two / three years business / financial industry experience in the mutual funds industry and exposure to dealing in funds domiciled in different regions and currencies is important

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
