GTI – VDI Engineer – Vice President – London recruitment
Client Technology Services (CTS) that sits in GTI,
delivers measurable business value by providing Virtual desktop technology solutions that meet business demand while realizing cost efficiencies. CTS works with our Line of Business partners to develop standardized, resilient operating environments and implement a global technology strategy for the firm's 16000 VDI clients. The ideal candidate will be from a mission-critical support l role in a complex changing environment where there is a strong emphasis on rigor and organization.
As a VDI Engineer, you will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs for virtual desktop. You will utilize latest technologies available in the virtual offering.You will participate in technology sessions within and outside the team.You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into design specifications.Additionally, you will document the detailed specifications, translate technical requirements into product offering.You will participate in reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot issues; and provide feedback to management.
Qualifications
A Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science/related field or relevant work experience.
Ubuntu Linux.
RedHat Linux systems.
NAS storage systems.
Oracle databases.
Power Shell.
VMware Solution Architect. Citrix Broker
SQL DB. Design Build documentation. Knowledge of Windows server 2008 Ent. Knowledge of Windows 7.
