Trading Systems GUI C# Developer - Hedge Fund - London

London based Hedge Fund looking for 2x C# Developers. 1 Web Based and 1 GUI C# Developer

My client requires a very strongt GUI developer, an individual with a blend of business and technical skills to complement the Trading Technology Group. You will be expected to  deliver quality code for a bespoke new trading frontend and give second level application support. You will join an experienced team that is responsible for the development and maintenance of our electronic trading platform.

Key Responsibilities:

The role will be predominantly development focussed but will include some business analysis and direct face to face contact with the traders. Key responsibilities will be:

• Be part of a development team building robust global solutions for the front office in C#.

• To follow and support the full project lifecycle

• To liaise with the front office in order to accurately identify business requirements

• To provide effective solutions in a timely and cost effective manner.

Person Profile:

• Hard working and willing to learn from the senior developers in the team.

• Demonstrable track record of working within a front office environment within Asset Management or financial services

• The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Development and have experience of business analysis.

• Excellent problem solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Inter-personal skills; tact, patience, courtesy, good listening skills

• Ability to deal credibly with business and technical users at all levels of the organisation

• Ability to operate under pressure and deliver to demanding deadlines

Required Technical Competencies:

• C#.Net 3.5, 4.0

• WCF, WPF

• Visual Studio 2010

Desirable Technical skills

• Windows 7 / 2008 R2 / IIS

• Subversion SVN, Tortoise SVN

• WinForms, Windows Services

• ASP.Net

• Agile / TDD / CruiseControl / nUnit

Business Competencies:

• Securities operations, Trade lifecycle

• Compliance knowledge

• Knowledge of the hedge fund sector

• Prior experience working in trading teams
