Guidance System Engineer Job in Chicago West, Illinois US

Job Description

·         Lead, supervise and review the work of supplier to ensure the efficient and timely completion of specific project milestones Create and/or approve systems specifications for Guidance projects.

·         Coordinate engineering activities between competency centers, suppliers, and business unit

·         Work to support integration of Guidance products and systems with all platforms (e.g. Brazil, Basildon)

·         Assist in the development of product plan

·         Manage hardware/software development and delivery for Guidance products and systems.

·         Approve validation test plan and coordinate with Product Evaluation group for testing activities

·         Lead CPM for Guidance activities. Works with Platform VIR's on deliverables.   

·         Consult with direct manager or competency center manager and proposes course of action regarding assigned project plan, resource requirements and schedule consistent with product line objectives

·         Review progress of projects and provides frequent team progress updates to direct manager

·         Prepare engineering design and details of components parts, for the design, costing and construction of development machines

·         Make recommendations to peers and direct manager based on sound engineering principles, practices and judgment pertaining to specific engineering problems as a contribution to the overall engineering and manufacturing objectives

·         Incorporate engineering standards, methodologies and global product development processes into daily work tasks

·         Prepare reports consistent with program requirements, CNH development processes and recommends processes unique to expertise.
