HACCP Coordinator Job in Moore 73160, Oklahoma US

Description:

 

              HACCP Coordinator will serve a crucial role in the Quality Assurance Department of the Fresh Cut Division of Vaughan Foods. HACCP Coordinator will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

 

General Purpose:

 

·        Responsible for managing HACCP plans.

·        Updating existing SOPs, creating new SOPs.

·        Assisting with Food Safety programs including vendor approval, receiving, Customer Complaints, Specifications,

·        Reviewing, evaluating data from documents and making recommendations to improve quality programs.

·        Monitors, completes, and maintains accurate paperwork as directed.

·        Keeps in touch with management as to product testing, trends, and deviations along with recommending any process adjustments.

·        Maintains awareness of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and engages in all activities related to product safety, product in process, and finished product.

 

Education Experience:

 

·        Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and or 3-5 years experience in Food Industry

·        Strong written and verbal skills

·        Must be able to multitask in order to achieve desired safety, quality, financial and customer service goals.

·        Must be creative and analytical in approaching solutions to problems in order to resolve complex issues.

·        Must be knowledgeable of the latest quality assurance techniques in order to develop and implement tactical and strategic plans to drive continuous quality improvement.

·        Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

·        Ability to work in a refrigerated environment for long periods of time.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

·        Experience in food manufacturing environment preferred.

·        Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

·        Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

·        Quality certification preferred (CQM, CQE, CQA).

·        Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).

·        Formal HACCP training with application experience.
